With Specialist in Care LLC's assistance, you hire your own personal care attendant! This person can be a loved one (not a spouse or guardian), a friend, someone you trust. Specialist in Care LLC takes care of background checks, payroll and monitoring the services you are receiving to keep in compliance with the program guidelines. Authorized hours reimbursed through the Consumer Directed Service program, facilitated by Specialist in Care LLC.

What type of care can a personal care attendant help you with?

Routine tasks and instrumental activities of daily living include, but not limited to the following:

Bathing and grooming
Bowel and bladder elimination
Dressing and undressing
Moving into and out of bed
Preparation and consumption of food and drink
Shopping/transportation
Maintenance and use of prostheses aids, equipment and other similar devices
Ambulation, medication reminders and Light house keeping

Peer Counseling

Peer counseling will be offered at the initial enrollment process to the consumer and available throughout your relationship with Specialist in Care LLC. Peer Counseling is important because a peer can offer support as an equal and on a reciprocal basis, (providing support to a person who has similar circumstances).

Specialist in Care LLC will assist the consumer in independent living skills training, social activities planning, household management, knowledge of community resources and other independent living areas.

We will help bring awareness, advocate and educate the public of the benefits and resources available to Seniors and Disabled Adults that can maintain their independent living.
